My kids love to practice handwriting! We’re raising nerds; how could we not? It’s in the genes! We print custom pages out using this website, put them in plastic page protectors, and they fill them out over and over with white board markers.
MaryAnne is a craft loving educator, musician, photographer, and writer who lives in Silicon Valley with her husband Mike and their four children.
Raising nerds is an awesome thing :-). I wish more were raising nerds!
Thank you for this wonderful idea and website too.
You so need to teach me the trick to get them to love practicing handwriting. It’s like torture…for me, to get ER to do that! Her handwriting is absolutely terrible!
We’re raising nerds here, too! I think it’s the only way to be. :)
Great idea!
Such a sweet photo of Johnny.
The world needs more nerds!
so awesome. Noah still does not like to write. but I know he will do wonderful one day soon :) love this photo xo
Yes, he will! Everyone learns at different rates, with different strengths and things they love to work on!
Cute, he looks like he’s doing really well too!
I am so jealous that your kids love to write. This is still the least likely activity for Anna. Johnny is doing an awesome job in this picture!
They could sure use some of Anna’s swimming ability! Hopefully I can get them some lessons to help with that next summer.
That is such a great idea!
I think it’s great that you’re doing this. I’ve always worked on handwriting with my girls, especially their names, but I didn’t use the paper the schools use. It took a few days of practicing for my girls to figure out what the dotted line in the middle is for!
I remember being frustrated at how LARGE I had to write when I started school! Emma may have that problem as well – she stopped doing the tracing pages a while ago, and loves to write on standard lined paper.
I’m raising little artists. I love to print off sheets like thy to use
What a great idea to use them over and over! I love this photo of him concentrating on his numbers.
Beautiful handwriting, Johnny! And hurrah for the next generation of nerds! :)
You can never have too many nerds =)
GREAT job!!!!
We’re still in the scribble stages, but I’m hoping that if I keep introducing the writing worksheets, Nudgie will get it sooner or later!
She’s still plenty young! Johnny just loves letters =)
My kids like to do that too. That is how they learned to write their names!
