Exploring Geography to World Culture for Kids Button + Google Reader

I have taken to calling the series that started off as “Exploring Geography” to the more descriptive “World Culture for Kids”, and now the unbelievably talented Ann of Doodles and Jots has kindly made this fantastic new button for the series! Thank you, Ann!!! I’m thrilled to have this wonderful representation of what the series is all about. If you haven’t perused this collection of kid-friendly posts written about countries and cultures around the world, be sure to check it out! Here’s the code for the button, if you would like to share the series!

And, as many of you know, Google Reader is sadly going away! Thankfully there are other options – at the moment I am experimenting with both bloglovin’ and Feedly. Feedly has made some changes to look more like Google Reader, so it may win me over from Bloglovin’, which is the service I was originally going with.

It’s quite easy to import your entire Google Reader subscription list into either service, so long as you do it by the end of June! Which reader will you switch over to?

  1. I love the button – and the series!! I’ve switched to Feedly and am really enjoying it.

  2. I love the new button. We are sort of returning to geography now with Top Secret Adventures from The Highlights and with a study on China. I plan to post about it soon. I am going with Feedly even though I am sure it will take me some time to get used to it. Big bummer about Google Reader :(

  3. Thanks everyone! It was fun helping out with this great series!

Also thanks MaryAnne for the Google Reader replacement recommendations. I just installed Feedly and added all my favorite blogs including this one!

    1. I really appreciate your help – the new image is perfect. Thank you!!!

I’m glad you found Feedly helpful. I really love the changes they have made to make their service especially helpful for people looking for a replacement for Google Reader.

Oh, MAN! Love the new name and I love that new button! Ann is amazing. (So are you.)

  5. I switched to Feedly. Love the button, it looks good. Not sure, but the link in the button might not be right, it’s crossed out.

    1. The link works, but it’s crossed out because the way it is typed up to grab the button it adds the ” to the end, and then it doesn’t work. Unfortunately, I can’t get my button grab box to work with the current version of wordpress – trying to figure out what the deal is with that… Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
