As a room mom for my son’s second grade classroom, I spent a fair amount of time finding fun Valentine’s Day party ideas for kids this year. I thought it would be fun to share my favorites here! These posts win my approval as Valentine’s Day class activities because they are relatively easy to set up, look like fun for the kids, and can be done by several children at once with only one parent or teacher supervising.
Valentine’s Day Class Party Ideas
Valentine’s Day is a pretty big deal at my kids’ school! All three kids will be exchanging valentines AND enjoying class parties. Thankfully I am only in charge of my second grader’s party – together with a very cool mom who shares my room mom job. Great round up! I’m not sure if my son will celebrate Valentine’s at school this year. 5th Grade … they might be too old for a party!
I did notice that Emma’s fourth grade party was much more relaxed than those for my younger kids.
My daughter LOVES Valentine’s Day and thinks it’s very important to make it a big deal. So, I’m always looking for simple ways to make it special.
That’s how my kids feel about Valentine’s Day, too. Well, maybe not Johnny but he doesn’t oppose it either.
It’s a big deal in school, but we don’t celebrate it at home. We believe in showing love for each other every day of the year :)
That’s what I always figured we would do but the kids love making cards for family and that is hardly something to discourage.
Valentine’s Day is not a big deal in Australia. I celebrate it with my husband! Our tradition is to enjoy Chinese food together. :)
