On our way home, we stopped in at the Vermont Toy Museum in Quechee Gorge Village. I really wanted to take Johnny to the train museum, but it seemed to be closed due to pouring rain.
Emma and Johnny were most enthralled by the toy robots!
Lily was all about the baby dolls. She loved them so much!
She desperately wanted to take one home, but knew she couldn’t and didn’t even ask.
Mike thought the video game console exhibit was pretty neat. The kids found it confusing!
The museum is housed above the Cabot store, so we tried some excellent cheese and crackers while we were there – brought some home, too!
Have you ever visited a toy museum?

So glad you stopped by the Cabot store and brought some goodies home with you! Come back soon :-)

OK, a toy museum above a cheese store sounds like my kind of place! I’m going to google this and see how far away it is from us :).
The toy robot display does look very impressive! We went to this toy museum in London when Sunnyboy was still quite small http://www.vam.ac.uk/moc/ and you’ve reminded me that I’d really like to take him again soon! :)
That toy museum looks fantastic! We visited the Museum of Childhood in Edinburgh when we lived there, and it was quite fascinating as well.
No, but now I want to visit one!!
Ooh, what a fun place. I have to see if there are any toy museums nearby. My wish is to go to Legoland :)
Legoland would be fantastic! I went to Legoland in Denmark when I was 10 years old or so, and LOVED it!!!
ME TOO! We almost went when we were out there a few years ago.
back when I was a kid I did. We haven’t traveled close enough to one yet to be able to go…….
I’m impressed they were allowed to touch the toys.
We have never been to a toy museum but it sounds like a great place for kids! Thinking about Cabot and some awesome cheese sounds amazing!
That looks amazing, and well worth a stop. Lily’s hands outstretched to the dolls reminds me of how we taught Vi to ask with a please before she could talk. So cute!
What a fun place!
We visited an old one in Arkansas…and my kids just loved it. Chelsea bought an old glass doll…that in my opinion…was not that pretty…but she loves that old doll! =)
And it was free too!
Wow, what a treasure trove. There sure is something for everyone there.
We have never visited a toy museum, but what a trip down memory lane it could be for parents and a fascinating experience for children.
