I have been a huge fan of Stride Rite shoes since now-nine-year-old Emma was a baby, so I was thrilled to hear that they now have a line of Surprize shoes for sale only at Target! Stride Rite shoes are my go-to shoe for comfort, fit, and durability, and my kids find them both comfy and cute. Three-year-old Anna picked out this pair of Toddler Girl’s Katelyn Mary Jane Shoes, and she has been wearing them EVERYWHERE. Anna is a pretty sensory sensitive kid, but she took right away to the soft memory soles in these shoes combined with their flexible soles. The Mary Jane style means they work great with jeans as well as the dresses and skirts she adores.
Anna loved going on a shopping date with me to pick out a pair of shoes for this post! The Surprize line is clearly a hit at Target – it looked like the shoes were flying off the shelves already, and we were lucky to find Anna’s favorite pair in the right size (we could always have ordered them online in a pinch). There is a nice range of designs – plenty Surprize for boys options, too – we were just shopping in the Surprize for girls aisle.
Anna knew right away which pair she wanted. This is her “Why are you asking me if I want to try on another shoe when I already told you I want this pair?” face. So cute! Hope they come to the “Target” (not sure they are related) shops here in Australia! I had a nightmare trying to find nice comfy shoes for Nikki there when waiting for the Crocs I ordered to arrive.
They are so cute! I’m always partial to Mary Janes. But sounds like my kids are too big for them now.
This is great to know! We love Stride Rite, but they tend to be pricey.
Right now they only seem to have through preschooler sizes (might barely fit Smarty). I am hoping they will expand to all children’s sizes.
