Gifts to Sew and Give as Stocking Stuffers
What You'll Find on This Page
Today, I’m excited to share some projects from some of my fellow sewing bloggers that you can make and give as hand sewn stocking stuffers this Christmas. Each project uses a relatively small amount of fabric, making these projects perfect for using up scraps, as well as inexpensive and quick to sew.

1. DIY Cowl Scarf
Stave off winter chills with this simple neck gaiter sewing pattern. There’s plenty of room to have fun mixing and matching colors and patterns, making this an excellent stash buster project as well, especially if you have lots of leftover fleece or other cuddly fabrics.

2. Bunting
Why not give kids some fun room decor in their stockings with this stash buster bunting sewing tutorial? Make it out of fun seasonal fabrics, their favorite colors, or match their room decor.

3. Keychain wallet
I love the clever design of this free keychain card wallet pattern. The snap closure is an especially nice touch, since it ensures no cards will get lost. You need only a little bit of fabric, so this is a fantastic project for using some of those tiny quilting cotton scraps you’ve been saving.

4. Mini Busy Book
This is my contribution to today’s roundup! This hand sewn mini busy book comes together quickly, and it’s perfect for kids to bring on road trips. If the child you are sewing for doesn’t love bears (I suppose that is possible?), try making one of these other tiny felt animals to go inside instead.

5. Hand Warmers
Keep everyone happy while you walk around looking at holiday lights with these rice filled DIY hand warmers. They are adorable, and quick and easy to sew! Use flannel or quilting cotton to sew this gift.

6. Makeup Bag
The color block curve top of this cosmetic bag tutorial creates a handmade gift that feels sophisticated. This project is perfect for mixing and matching fat quarters.
