How Did April Go?
What You'll Find on This Page
I am really happy with how my April goals went this year! I got nearly everything from my goals list done, and that’s a small miracle.
Spring Break Fun
We all enjoyed a lovely spring break, and even made it up to Northern California to visit my brother.
Quilting
I finished my quilt, and I am really happy with how it turned out! It’s nice to see myself getting better at quilting; this is a relatively new skill for me.
Blogging
On the blog in April, I wrote up and shared our favorite gluten free chocolate chip cookie recipe. My niece taught me to how to make these delicious cookies.
I also wrote about Camp Galileo – an amazing summer camp for kids if you are lucky enough to live lose enough to send your child. Be sure to click through to that post and use my discount code if you decide to sign your child up to this camp!
If you live in the California Bay Area, you’ll want to check out my review of the San Jose Tech Interactive museum.
On my Great Family Reads blog, I interviewed illustrator Debra Frasier.
Parenting littles? I put together a list of toddler and mixed age player friendly cooperative board games at Top Toy Finds.
Music
No recordings so far, but I did get in some good practicing!
Road Trip Plans
I figured out our route for our summer road trip, but I’m still working on figuring out stops along the way.
Decluttering
I’m very pleased with all of the progress I made on decluttering last month! Hopefully I can keep that momentum going in May.
My Monthly Goals for May 2023
Here are my goals for May:
- Help the kids make it through the end of the school year. We are all always excited when it’s time for summer vacation!
- Finalize summer travel plans.
- Craft. I have a few small projects that I am working on, and I haven’t picked a larger project to work on. I might finish up a few works in progress first.
- Continue working on music. It makes me happy!
- Continue decluttering and organizing, although probably on a smaller scale than last month.
What are you hoping to get done this month? Is there anything you are looking forward to?

My goal for May is pretty much survive, this and June with everything going on.
The quilt looks amazing! I’ve got a quilt I’m mostly done with, but have some embroidery to do with it.
Decluttering and organizing is on my to do list, but I need to figure out my priorities in that.
I’m excited to see your finished quilt! Surviving wound up being a fair bit of my May, which is how it’s June 2nd and I just realized I haven’t written a goals post for June yet…
