Did I Achieve My February Goals?
What You'll Find on This Page
I set super simple February goals, and I am glad I kept them basic because it was a busy month. We had a wonderful time celebrating Emma’s 19th birthday. She went sky diving, which I found terrifying and she found exhilarating. She came home for the weekend, and we all enjoyed the extra time with her.
We pretty much ate chocolate for Valentine’s Day. I also got my husband this travel neck pillow that my brother says is a game changer. He hasn’t had a chance to use it yet, but he has a lot of travel coming up this spring and summer, so hopefully it will help! He was pleasantly pleased do discover that it is actually quite portable – not always true of travel aids.
I mostly updated old posts for the blog, but I did publish my Pavlova recipe, which is probably my favorite gluten free dessert right now. The best part is that it is traditionally flour free, so you don’t have to do any substitutions. Spring is the perfect time of year for the light, fluffy, berry-topped treat.
I also kept crafting and playing music, but not with any finished products (or recordings) to show for it at the moment. That’s fine; I set those goals because I enjoy the process.

My Monthly Goals for March 2025
Here are my goals for this month:
- Keep blogging, crafting, and playing music.
- Enjoy my oldest daughter being home for spring break. Sadly, her break doesn’t coincide with her siblings’, but it does match her professor dad’s schedule.
- Make the most of my youngest daughter’s two ballet competitions. I never planned to be a dance mom, but for now I seem to be, because she’s found something she loves. And she seems to be really good at it, too.
What are you hoping to accomplish this month?

That’s an oddity of college spring breaks that I hadn’t considered until recently. It totally makes sense to have them staggered for all the different areas, but it was an interesting discovery for me.
It truly is interesting how often travel aids are not something that travels easily.
I find it really frustrating that we live in a college town and the local school district never lines their spring break up with the university’s. So many parents work there! L and A are probably switching back to homeschool this fall, though, so they will have more flexibility.
Yes, you would think that travel aids would be made as compactly as possible, but so often that is not the case.
