How Did I Do With June Goals

June was meant to be a very relaxing month, but one of my kids is struggling with unexplained health issues, and that took over a lot of the month. It’s spilling into July, too, unfortunately – especially for my kid, who is stuck in all of this without real answers.

There were some good moments. We made it to the end of the school year, and I organized the house a tiny bit. My road trip even happened, albeit slightly delayed by medical issues. Mike made it to Argentina with the older kids, also.

Blogging did not happen – at least not on the level of making it to publication. Hopefully I’ll fix that this month.

Setting monthly goals - July 2025 edition

Here are my goals for July:

  • Enjoy a visit to my parents’ place and a family reunion.
  • Finish the blog posts I was working on (but didn’t manage to publish) in June.
  • Keep chasing medical tests until we get some answers.
  • Start planning fall homeschool curriculum for my rising 9th and 11th grader. I’d love to hear if you have specific recommendations!
  • Sew and play music when I can.
  • Celebrate my 45th birthday :D

That’s probably more than enough to keep me busy.

  1. I’m sorry about the health issues, that is no fun for sure.
I’m a big fan of 7Sisters for high school literature, and they also have humanities and other subjects like that. Apologia is good for science.
But, we also did dual enrollment in high school, so that makes it hard to recommend materials.
