Setting Monthly Goals for February 2025

Every month, I set a few simple attainable goals to add focus to my life. Here are my monthly goals for February 2025.

Did I Achieve My January Goals?

I’m very happy to say that my January was much healthier than our December, and I made decent progress on my January goals.

I enjoyed crafting (including sewing clothing for myself for the first time in years), music, and having all four kids home. We’re saying goodbye to my daughter tomorrow, since her long winter interterm break is over. It was so fun to have her here all month!

Mike and I enjoyed a couple’s getaway to Half Moon Bay that was quite lovely. The kids did well in our absence, too.

I made decent progress at work, including one abstract submitted. We’ll see if it gets accepted – fingers crossed!

Last month I got one completely new non-goals blog post published. My goal was to blog more, and I barely did! I published my (somewhat epic) list of books that I read in 2024, and a tutorial on how to fix a broken zipper. So two posts instead of one. Maybe I’ll make it up to three in February?

Actually, I did write a third post this month – this review of the Chompshop cardboard cutter over on my toy review site. I bought this little machine through a Kickstarter, but you can buy it outright now as well. Read through our likes and dislikes, and decide if it’s for you!

My Monthly Goals for February 2025

I have a few (hopefully realistic) goals for this month:

  • Have fun celebrating Valentine’s Day with my family. As much as I enjoy romance, I like this holiday best as an “appreciate the many people you love” day. I made my youngest daughter a countdown with activities for each day, ranging from things like “Do something nice for someone today” to “Eat chocolate” on the 14th.
  • Celebrate my oldest daughter’s 19th birthday. One final year as a teen, and then she’ll start her second decade of life. It’s hard to believe! Hopefully she’ll make it back up here to celebrate, but we’ll see what her school schedule looks like.
  • Keep blogging, playing music, and crafting

February is a short month, and I’m going to stop there.

What are you hoping to accomplish this month?
