Every month I set goals to focus on what matters most and things I especially want to accomplish. Here are my goals for June 2021.

Staying Focused with Monthly Goals
Every month I set a few goals of things I hope to accomplish. I keep these goals simple and attainable so that they remain a positive piece of my life.
How did May Go?
I’m teaching middle school online full time right now, so I intentionally kept my 2021 May goals super simple. I was plenty busy with keeping my students engaged while also looking after my four children.
This year I’ve used swimming and walking, crafting, playing music, and conversations with family and friends as sanity savers. I’ve been really good about keeping up with swimming and allowing myself a few minutes to sing and play guitar regularly. Crafting has actually suffered recently, but the school year is nearly over and hopefully that will change with summer vacation approaching.
My children continue to grow up alarmingly fast, so prioritizing family time is very important to me.
After well over a year of living in an area with everything shut down, we are enjoying a slow return to something resembling life pre-pandemic.
Goals for June 2021
The school I teach at ends mid-month, so I still have a ways to go. Here are my goals for June:
- Make the most of these final days of school, working to connect with students even though my classes are still 100% remote. Focus: education and mindfulness
- Enjoy quick trip to visit my sister and grandma when school is out. Focus: gratitude and mindfulness
- Prioritize family time. Like I said, the kids are growing up quickly. Focus: gratitude
- Work on this site once school is out. I have a lot of catching up to do! I have lists and lists of blog posts I want to write, and many of them are even photographed. I just need time to write them up and publish them here.
And that’s it for me – another month of keeping things simple.
