Science with Dad: Exploring phones (and Dad’s toolbox)

taking apart a telephone

Mike helped the kids take apart this phone over the weekend. After taking the phone apart, we visited How Stuff Works to learn more – very educational for both me and the kids! Emma was very serious about the entire thing – can you tell? Johnny was more into Dad’s tools!

I’m linking this post up to Science Sunday at Adventures in Mommydom.

  1. I had a blast with the kids, and they learned the names of the major components. It occupied them for nearly an hour!

  2. This is awesome Mary Anne! I’ll have to clue Jamie in on this:-).

Fantastic! We are big fans of How Stuff Works too…. and taking things apart, for that matter. ;-)

I love how this photo captures the event! I’m looking forward to having a take-apart corner in our playroom.
