We were out for a walk when the kids noticed that a neighbor’s tree had dropped a WHOLE bunch of pine needles. We spent a long time playing with the pine needles lying on the side of the road, and then the kids decided to bring some home. They loaded Lily up with as many as she could hold, and we carted them back to our front porch, where they spent a good hour building straw houses and other delights.
They think we should plant a pine tree in our yard.

I agree with Natalie’s comment above, and this is the sweetest picture of Lily!
Such a cute pic!
She’s enjoying holding the pine needle with a lovely face. Hmmnn..I missed my childhood playing a pine needle in the park.
Oh, the simple joys :) This picture is lovely!
Baby sisters in strollers are excellent at transporting newfound treasure home. What a beauitful pine needle Princess Lily is.
Oh what fun! We don’t have pine needles like that in Texas that I’m aware of! That is the most precious picture!
That is so funny!
That is an adorable picture! Guess she didn’t mind the pricklys?
They were surprisingly un-prickly pine needles!
So cute! Lily is doing a great job holding the pine needle treasure!
When I read the post, I thought that it was her Halloween costume. :) Building straw houses sounds like so much fun! Although I don’t know if I would want a pine tree in my yard. After living in the piney woods of East Texas, I know they are a lot of work, keeping the ground clear of needles!
I agree with you on pine trees, but the lids can dream :)
Ha ha ha ha ha, I misread it at first and thought you said PIN needle princess, and I was so confused. this makes so much more sense.
Now that is a lot of pine needles…and she does look like a princess!
Awww… she is really clutching her precious find!
