I loved paper doll chains as a kid, but I had completely forgotten about them until I saw this post at Be A Fun Mum. Reminders like this are one of the many reasons I love blogland! We cut some out Wednesday morning, and Emma and Johnny had a blast with them – first decorating them, and then sending them off on all sorts adventures. All of the adventures seemed to have a “rescuing each other” theme, I guess because the dolls are all holding hands?
Lily was thoroughly entertained by their narratives:
Emma and Johnny each gave a set to their friend Ava Wednesday afternoon, and her mom had the exact same reaction – she remembered loving them as a kid, but had completely forgotten about them.
I’m linking this post up to The Art Box at Tired, Need Sleep.

Totally gorgeous pics. Thanks for the mention xxx
Thanks for the inspiration =)
The last picture of Lily is precious.
My mom used to make paper dolls with me and then several years ago she and Hanna were into the habit of making them. Thanks for reminding me of this.

Ooh, Matthew will love doing this! How cute that they are “rescuing” each other – what imaginations your children have!

Well, Emma and Johnny definitely have an appreciative audience. Cute paper dolls – I should try them out (never made them in my childhood).

Yea!! I’m another one who had completely forgotten about this much-loved childhood craft. Emma’s writing is excellent, and Lily has lots of teeth now! It’s fun to see them growing and changing, all while having lots of fun.
