May 2024 Monthly Goals

How did April Go?

What You'll Find on This Page

April is one of those months where where I have to sit and really think to capture everything that happened. It was busy, but mostly a very good busy.

My two older kids enjoyed a lot of travel, and I loved taking my oldest daughter on a college tour – not the school she ended up choosing, but it was a fun trip nonetheless, and the trip was helpful in making a final decision. My son enjoyed an amazing trip to Japan with his art class. My younger daughters had ice skating and ballet performances, so all of the kids had something special last month.

Seeing the solar eclipse with all nine of my siblings and my mom was definitely a highlight of the month for me. My younger two daughters came along for that trip. I even managed to blog about it, barely accomplishing my April goal to blog.

I kept crafting and playing music, although less of both than I would have liked.

Monthly Goals for May 2024

May is my last month of teaching! I’ve enjoyed my time in the classroom, but I’m also excited to get back to normal life. I don’t think I’m teaching in the fall, although that could change. I definitely have enough blog and freelance work to keep myself busy without it. My sixth grader is contemplating homeschool in the fall, too; we’ll see what she decides.

Here are my goals for this month:

  • Blog at least once (this post doesn’t count)
  • Keep up with crafting and music as much as is possible
  • Enjoy my last month of teaching
  • Plan summer travel

That should be more than enough to keep me busy!

  1. Like you said to Natalie, I would not have thought older kids took so much time, even though I knew they did from hosting one when my kids were little.
I can’t wait to hear where she decides to go for college. That whole process is both exciting and tiring at the same time.
I want to do some more crafting too, I need to make sure and prioritize that rather than the endless mundarery that I find to fill my life some days.

  2. I know the feeling of being busy! I can barely keep up with my blog too. I bet you are looking forward to having more free time in summer!
