I was really hoping that March would be a better month for blogging. That didn’t work out, but I should be able to get some posts up in April!
I did at least manage my two other 2024 March goals. Teaching went well last month, and I have the rest of the year partially planned, and completely organized in terms of what we will learn. That should clear up some blogging time! I also know my students better, so it’s easier to predict how long activities will take and which ones they are likely to enjoy.
I did book tickets to visit my parents in June, and I’ll see a bunch of my family this month! We are meeting up in Texas in hopes of catching the eclipse, but it looks like we might have cloudy weather. At least it will be a mini sibling reunion, and I think my mom will make it out as well.
Monthly Goals for April 2024
April is a travel heavy month for my family. My son is in Japan right now with his art class, and my oldest daughter has some college visits planned so she can make a more informed choice as to where to go to school, and I’m joining her on one of those trips this week. She also has a trip to New York City with her theater group. My two youngest kids are coming to Texas with me to see the eclipse.
April is also a performance month – we have ice skating and ballet performances. So Mike and I are driving kids around a lot this month. Mike is at least in town! He has traveled less than normal so far this year, and it’s been nice to have him around more.
Goals…
- Enjoy the travel we have planned.
- Blog – for real!
- Keep crafting and playing music.
That’s it for me this month.

Wow, I hope the weather cooperates and you will get to see the eclipse! Can’t wait to hear where E is heading for college :) Hopefully, you will enjoy your April events, they sound like fun!
She’ll have to decide by the end of this month. She’s really torn between three schools that are amazing for different reasons. She is visiting them this month, and hopefully the choice will be more obvious after those visits!
I’ve got my fingers crossed it’s not cloudy during the eclipse.

College visits are fun, but also tiring.
He is loving Japan, and I’m loving his photos. I hope we both get clear skies for the eclipse.
