I’ve decided to simplify my life by removing my weekly linkies, but if you share fun, creative, hands-on learning posts in your comments or on my facebook page, I’ll pin those to my Pinterest boards and pick a few to feature here next Monday. Don’t blog? Feel free to describe an activity in comments or on my page, and they will be eligible for features, too. Same end result, but a different way of going about it – and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the change. Here are three favorites of mine from the posts linked up last week:
- Pumpkin Math and Science from Stay At Home Educator
- Making Gratitude a Daily Practice from The Good Long Road
- Nature Turkeys from Crafty Moms Share
I’m curious: How is Christmas celebrated where you live? Or, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, do you have a different winter holiday tradition to share?
MaryAnne is a craft loving educator, musician, photographer, and writer who lives in Silicon Valley with her husband Mike and their four children.
Thanks for featuring my post about pumpkin math and science activities! It’s always encouraging to find that others have enjoyed it!
I thought it was a great idea!
I’ll miss your link up, I like getting ideas from them but I will check out your Pinterest boards. I’m a Pinner myself and was so thankful when they came out with it, so many less papers and ideas strewn about my house now! ;o)
We made some pistachio shell Christmas ornaments you may enjoy! http://madebyjoey.blogspot.ca/2012/11/christmas-re-crafting.html
Happy Holidays!

PS. Great giveaway, what a fun way for us to learn more about the US!
Lots of people have a barbeque and/or go to the beach on Christmas here. :)
Thanks for featuring my Gratitude Post Cards! I love the way you share and support other bloggers! We do a lot of learning with trains around here…http://jennifischer.blogspot.com/2012/11/ten-for-tuesday-things-that-go-series.html
Sounds like a fun packet to win. My middle daughter had so many questions about Jerusalem and religions that we are reading a couple of books on world religions. This packet sounds like a way to learn more about Christianity — confusing to her when the Orthodox split from the Roman Catholics and then branched out.
Just entered! Didn’t realize you weren’t doing the linky anymore either, but good for you! :) Simplifying is always great. LOVE your new header as well!
Thank you! Good luck with the giveaway :)
I haven’t visited for awhile and didn’t realize the linkie would be gone. Sometimes, there are so many posts linked, it can be a bit overwhelming. I love the idea of perusing Pinterest for ideas.
I love her stuff. I need to print off her Christmas Unit to get started on planning for it.
