It’s been a while since I posted one of these. I love the fun things my kids say – such an interesting look into their world! I have been recording these for a few years now; you can find all of my kid quotes here. Do you keep track of the fun things that your kids say?
Lily (5 years old): Why does Anna (2 years old) copy me all the time?
Anna (2 years old): I love you, Lily!
I’m sitting next to Anna (two years old) when she starts yelling:
Anna: MOOOOM! MOOOOM! MOOOM!
Me: I’m right here.
Anna: MOOOOOM! MOOOM!
calmly, to me:
I’m calling another mom.
My kids often pretend that one of them is “mom”, and I will respond to them talking to the pretend “mom” thinking that they are talking to me and they will think I am being ridiculous for thinking they were talking to me. Apparently they confuse each other, too.
Anna: Mom, help?
Lily walks over to help.
Anna (indignantly): No! BIG mom!
Johnny (7 years old) is practicing his 6x tables using our multiplication wrap-up* (his idea, not mine).
Johnny: This is hard!
Me: I guess it’s good you are practicing, then.
Johnny: It’s fun. I like the challenge!

Emma (9 years old): When I grow up, I want to be a teacher with a pilot’s license so I can take my students on trips anytime I want, anywhere in the world.
Emma: I hope they let the president eat simple food sometimes, like sandwiches. Not just fancy restaurant food.
What fun things are your kids saying these days?

So cute!
I love that you collect the funny things your kids say. It always make me smile! I should do that too but I never seem to!
Every single quote made me smile so much!!! The first one melted my heart, “I love you, Lily” is the perfect response.
I’m especially laughing over “I’m calling another mom.” I get confused about whether my kids are calling me or a pretend mommy sometimes, too. Our kids must get together sometime… so many similarities!

I think our kids would have a wonderful time together!
Love it. Perhaps Emma will have her own Magic School Bus :)
That was what I thought of, also, when she saw that!
Very fun! Pinned! Thanks for the smiles. Well, thank your children!
Thank you for pinning! I love my kids.
Pilot’s license, nice….
