Emma Quotes: Taking Turns

admiring beads Admiring grown-up beads during a (very rare) Johnny nap

I’m making this card to give to Tinkerbell at Disneyland. I love fairies! That’s why I talk about Disneyland every day.

At bedtime:
Let’s go to my room and I’ll get in my bed and you can see what happens with my eyes.

Everyone gets a turn being a baby. And right now it’s my turn to be a little girl.

Mama, can I have your earrings/shoes/dress/hair clip when I’m Cinderella?

When I grow up, will I stay Cinderella?

Getting ready to visit two little boys:
Can I bring my doll in case I want a girl toy?

And one cameo appearance from Johnny:

Johnny a la Elton John

Johnny is working it!! :) Emma’s quotes are always fantastic. Love the practical aspect of bringing a doll, just in case.

  2. Emma’s quotes remind me of things Kaia used to say. I knew she would grow out of her princess phase one day, and she has for the most part by now. Enjoy it while it lasts!

  3. My favorite is her quote about getting in bed and seeing what happens with her eyes. You’ve got to wonder where she got that one–LOVE it!!

That is a priceless picture of Johnny! He will love that one in years to come:-). My mom got a few pictures of my brother like that when he was about that same age and it’s so fun to look back at them.

Happy Easter! I hope you have a wonderful day with your family!

  4. I love reading Emma quotes. My favorite is the one about growing up to be Cinderella. It reminded me of my conversation with Anna. I said, “Maybe you will grow up and will wear pretty dresses and dance on the stage and be…” Anna, “I know! Cinderella!”. I was actually going for ballerina.

  5. Oh, how sweet! You’re right – I think our girls would get along wonderfully.

The other day, Mel asked me if she’d be my princess when she grew up. I told her she’d always be my princess and so she asked, “Are you my Nanu’s princess?” I didn’t know how to answer; my Mum’s not talking to me at the moment. I just said, “Daughters are always their mommies’ princesses,” and left it at that.

  6. You are good to document Emma’s quotes. I often mean to do this and then when I actually make time to do it, I can’t remember exactly what was said. I have started writing Savvy’s quotes down, so I have a record that I can refer to when I want to blog about them.

My favourite quote of Emma’s was the one about going to bed and “you can see what happens to my eyes” – too funny.

Johnny’s got it going on with his green glasses and blue high heeled shoes.

Water play is a popular activity in our house too. My children love it and there are so many fun and different things you can do with it.
