Emma Quotes: Clean and Sparkly

emma

Mama, is today tomorrow?

To Johnny: You have to give me the glass. Otherwise you will turn into a girl.

Mama, feed me my pasta since I’m reading.

Said multiple times over the past couple of weeks: That’s really intressive!
Maybe I over-use the words “impressive” and “interesting”?

No! I don’t like boy friends!
Upon hearing that two little boys were coming over to play. For the record, she had a lovely time with said little boys.

Mama, you have three kids! One little kid [Lily], one small kid [Johnny], and one kid who really loves Dada [Emma].

I want to take a shower. I want to get all clean and sparkly.

  1. I’m never sure if people check back here or if I need to go to their blog…I’ll post both places. You are so welcome. Wow, it sounds like it is a wonderful approach and that you both benefited. I’ve heard about that hindrance before. I defintitely think I’ll be focusing more on relative pitch. Otherwise it seems to teach that perfection is the key, which I do not want her to thank. I so appreciate the comment!

My daughter says she doesn’t like boys either! She’s very vocal about it. Her sunday school class only has one other little girl. She’s terrible in that class and says it is because “I don’t like boys”.

  5. I wish we lived closer, because you’re right – Melody and Jessica would probably get along wonderfully with Emma.

We get the “Is it today or tomorrow right now” all the time. However, I’m almost glad we haven’t introduced day words in Bengali, because “yesterday” and “tomorrow” are the same word!

“Sparkly” is popular here too. The girls need to be examined for sparkly teeth every night before bed. :)

  6. Love the quotes – it’s great that you capture them in these posts. The one about boy friends will have to be read back to her in about 10 years from now :)

  7. My three year old is always wondering about today & tomorrow too. She just can’t quite wrap her head around it all yet. I think we have the “is it tomorrow” discussion every day. It’s too cute.
