Emma getting ready to go swimming, talking to Johnny:
I don’t wear swim diapers. That means I’m taller than you.
Emma, playing with stuffed animals:
Your phone came, baby dog!
Mike talking to Johnny:
Mike: Can you say, “I love my mama”?
Johnny: I love robots!
Coloring at the table. Lily and Johnny like to throw all the colored pencils and crayons on the floor – something I’ve been working on stopping:
Emma (pointing to the crayons): Look Johnny, there’s still some right there. Throw them on the floor!
Mama: You know he’s not supposed to do that! Why did you tell him to throw them on the floor?
Emma: Because he wasn’t coloring.

My favorite is Emma’s “I’m taller than you”, and the crayon throwing. As much as Jack loves to color, every now and then he’ll have something come over him and just start throwing the crayons all over the room. So, I can relate:-).

Sorry, MaryAnne, I had made a typo with my website address in my previous comment and it was linking to another site. I recently got a new computer and am still sorting out some bits and pieces. It should be fixed now.

Every night we say to Blake :I love you soooo much and he says it back to us. One particular night we were mucking around and I asked Blake to say “I love daddy so much” and he said “I love blue car sooo mush”.
This morning a fly was buzzing around my head and I said this fly is bothering me because it keeps flying around me. Savvy said “that’s ok mummy, it must really love you”.

My kids are all hopelessly confused about “older” and “taller”–they think the two are synonyms.
