Cute DIY Decorate-a-Monster Stuffie Tutorial
Want to make your own decorate-a-monster softie?
- Download the pattern here.
- Cut out of muslin (any cotton fabric works, actually).
- Sew wrong sides together, leaving an opening for stuffing.
- Turn right side out.
- Stuff. We love cluster stuff!
- Hand stitch closed.
I drew faces on with a permanent marker, but you could also leave the faces for kids to draw on themselves!
Use sharpie or fabric pens for a permanent effect, or decorate them with washable markers, wash, and decorate again. We used Crayola washable markers on ours, and Emma was able to get all of the marker off her monster by bathing it in a small bin of plain water. Then we wrung it out, let it dry for a few hours, and it was good to go for another round of decorating!
What activities is your family enjoying as we get ready for Halloween? Do you have a sewing tutorial my kids would love?
