The LeapPad Ultra is the ultimate kids learning tablet. Pre-order yours today while supplies last!
I recently wrote about a sweepstakes for the new LeapPad tablet. The sweepstakes have ended, but I’m back to say that you can now officially pre-order it through a variety of retailers, including LeapFrog, Toys R Us, Target, Best Buy, and Barnes & Noble – it is sold out through LeapFrog.com, but the other retailers still have stock! A full list of retailers is available through the LeapPad pre-order page.
We have an older version of the LeapPad that we reviewed a couple years ago, and it has held up well to a couple of years of wear and tear. I love the improvements in the newest version, including a built-in rechargeable battery and font-and-back cameras and video recorders. The camera is one my kids’ favorite features of our current LeapPad, so I know they would adore the improved cameras on the new one!
What role does technology play in your children’s lives? How do you see that role changing as your kids grow older (if at all)?

My kids used their leap pads for reading when they were young. Now they are glued to their iPhones and iPads.
My kids all loved their Leappads when they were younger. Today, they’ve replaced them with iPods and Androids, but I miss the good old days. At least they couldn’t Google Ke$ha lyrics on the Leappad!
I’m loving the Leappad years!
