- We’ve got germ warfare a la ikat bag slated for the next time I have sick whiny kids!
- Moments of Mommyhood is full of cute hand- and footprint crafts; these footprint bumble bees are my current favorite!
- I think Johnny would especially enjoy this Towers up! counting game from be the thread.
- I’m waiting for my kids to get a little older so we can try human number line game from A Large Room.
- But we can play this outdoor number game from Adventures in Mommydom right now!
- Boat building with legos, as seen at One Inch World.
- Synthesia: plug a midi keyboard in, and you can use this free online game to learn piano without reading music. My 5- and 7-year-old nephews both learned to play songs by using this program.
- Easy fishing game with pipecleaner fish (brilliantly simple!) from Frugal Family Fun Blog
- DUPLO spinny spellers from Filth Wizardry
What’s on your “to try” list right now?
MaryAnne lives is a craft loving educator, musician, photographer, and writer who lives in Silicon Valley with her husband Mike and their four children.
Most of the things on my to do list at the moment revolve around some excellent book recommendations I have discovered on blogs and craft activities to go with them.
I have really enjoyed discovering some “new” blogs that you featured here.
I thought Lily’s birthday cake was the sweetest, most precious cake. What a beautiful idea to have all three children help out and make such a special cake for their baby sister. They did a fantastic job too.
Daisy Ribbons creates such stylish and unique accessories. I love buying clips that are unique for my girls.
Happy belated birthday (I am sorry that I have not been stopping by as regularly as I used to, my cherubs are all consuming at the moment)to dear Lily and Mike. It’s always wonderful when there are special people to celebrate.

Great round-up. I especially like Lego ideas. I wonder how my husband will take to taking Legos to water, he can be a little “anal” about these things :)

We are so glad you like our Shape People!
Too funny that you mentioned the fishing game…we are planning to do that activity during our Ocean’s Unit!
What a great “favourites” post! I love how the activities are pre-screened for children the same ages as mine… :) :) Math is FUN! :)

Thanks for the list of links! The only thing on my list right now is to do that craft melting the crayons in the sun. I tried it one time in Africa but it actually wasn’t hot enough so I want to try it again. We’ve had 100+ degree hot weather days so I think it will work this time!

Brilliant pipe cleaner fishing game! I must do it the next time the kids ask to do crafts! Thank you for the link to that and to my silly germs!
