Bamboo Leg Huggers

Lily modeling her new leg huggers

Given the household popularity of my shirt sleeves to leggings repurposing venture, I was very excited to receive a pair of proper Leg Huggers in the mail from Agoo Apparel to review. Emma immediately commented on how much fancier they were than my hack version, and asked if Lily would share them with her. Lily is pretty amenable to sharing these days, so both girls had a go at modeling:

Johnny is in the picture because he wanted to be in the picture. He is very handsome, though, don’t you think?

I love that these leg warmers fit my five month old and my nearly-four-year-old; they would even work as arm warmers for an older child. The top and bottom are elasticized to help them stay put. Emma is a super-sensory-sensitive kid, and the elastic at the top of the leg huggers irritated her; it didn’t seem to bother Lily at all. The design on the pair we tried out meant threads on the back for little toes to catch on if you aren’t paying attention when you put them on, but I think it’s worth the cuteness of the design.

Leg Huggers are especially popular among cloth diapering families, since you don’t have to worry about fitting pants over cushy cloth diapers and the diapers are cute enough to leave uncovered. The Leg Huggers we tried out are made from bamboo, which has antibacterial and UV protective properties, as well as being hypoallergenic and odor resistant. There are boy styles as well, including a very cute car/truck design.

  1. My girls would both wear these, ages 2 and 4. I became a fan, my favorite styles are popsicle parade and ed the elephant.. and I follow this blog on twitter, does that count??? Ooh, pick me pick me random!

  2. I would choose the Retro Bullseye

  8. These are so cute! We are in the adoption process, so our new little one would be wearing these if we won. We still haven’t decided about diapers yet. I love the all-in-ones but do I really want to wash poopy diapers at home?

Do they make them in adult sizes? ;-) Seriously though, Emily would go nuts for these!! Thanks for the chance!

PS: Love the pic of Emma and Johnny. He looks very handsome, indeed!

  10. I’m new here, but LOVE baby legs!! I’d love to try these bamboo ones! I have two girls, and we’re trying for another, so for right now I’d have to pick a girly one…but can’t pick…it’s between the limited tree design and the rainbow hearts!

  11. I love the argyle one with those hearts they are just too cut. However, the “I’m big and do things on mine own and make my own decisions even though I am not even 3” year old would probably want the cute butterfly leg huggers.

  12. My 2 1/2 year old has some baby legs that I just love. She is recently potty trained and it was great to be able to let her wear those instead of tight with her dresses to keep her little legs warm and still be able to go to the bathroom by herself. These leg huggers are just darling!

  13. OK, I’ve never done these double comments before so I hope this is right. I went and looked at the styles and I like all the ones that aren’t pink, but looking through my girls’ eyes, I’ll have to say the Raining Tulips one is going to be their favorite!

  14. Hey MaryAnne! Quiet (suspicious, though) moment so am dashing off a comment. Yes, Johnny is very handsome! And Lily is gorgeous – those cheeks! And sweet Emma – she has the prettiest smile. I’ve noticed my children smile in a similar way, too, when they get their turn at whatever it is they are supposed to be sharing. Hmm..

I’d love to win one of those leg huggers. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them before but they remind me of those dance leg warmer things. So am quite sure that all three girls will try and fight for them.
