Emma and Johnny are both veteran graduates of the Stick Everything You Can Reach In Your Mouth School, and much to their delight I let them play with teeny tiny toys. They can, however, be a bit keen on sharing these small toys with Lily, who is still enthusiastically enrolled in the Stick Everything You Can Reach In Your Mouth School. I decided to remedy the situation by providing Emma and Johnny with homemade Choking Hazard Detectors, also known as toilet paper roll tubes. Both children are now expert testers, and Emma decorated her Choking Hazard Detector very nicely:

Good Idea! Kiddo likes to announce “New Kid can’t have this mom! The box says 3 and up!” Of course,I think it is because he want to keep it to himself, not because he is benevolent. That will have to come later (I hope!).

I love this idea of getting the kids on board to help prevent a choking incident. Leila is just starting to put things in her mouth. I’ve kind of forgotten what it’s like to have a baby in that phase.
I love it!!! You can never be too careful, you know? Great pic of Emma too!

I’ll be sure to remeber this great idea. I love how necessity is the mother of invention.
Your homemade pizza looked delicious, the aroma wafting through the house must have been fantastic.
Emma’s thank you cards are adorable. What a sweet gesture and a wonderful learning opportunity to take the time to personally thank everyone. I can only imagine everyone’s faces as they received such a gorgeous card – Emma’s cards would have put a great big smile on everyone’s faces.
Your recent Wordless Wednesday Photo is so precious. Your three children sitting in the box and looking so happy made me smile!

That’s a great idea!
What a fabulous idea! I was very lucky that the oral stage was very short in both my girls – it was so hard keeping all of Abby’s tiny toys away from Lizzy!
Very nice idea, and I like the decorations too!

We went to that school, too. What a great way to teach Emma and Johnny what they can and can’t give Lily.

That’s a great way to check!
We did the same thing with Conner – he thought it was so fun to test his toys and find a special spot for the ones that were too small!
