Getting outdoors is the best way to keep kids active, but I like finding fun ways to stay active indoors as well! Adventure to Fitness is surprisingly effective at getting my kids moving – I think thanks to Mr. Marc’s incredible enthusiasm! The animation is pretty basic, but the simplicity may actually help my kids stay moving, instead of focusing on special effects. The series we watched (pictured above) reminded me a little bit of the Carmen Sandiego computer games I played as a kid.
Do you think your kids would enjoy this? Adventure to Fitness is offering a copy of the same DVD we received – Mr. Marc’s Adventure Through Time Collection – to any reader of this blog – hooray for a worldwide giveaway! To enter, just fill out the form below! Random.org will help me pick a winner May 10th!
How do you keep your kids active indoors? Here are some activities that work in a small space with kids!

Oh no! I seen this too late. Such a great giveaway! I think my son would love this video. :)
My kids love it!
I like that it engages their imagination! Getting exercise should be fun for kids! Fun for adults too ; )
I remember Carmen Sandiego! Here in S. Africa, there’s really times where we can’t go outside. In the winter, it’s usually warmer outside than in our house! That’s thanks to concrete walls and floors. Brrr…
I love the ideas for indoor activities in the post you linked to! My kids were dance/sliding in socks this morning – careful falling was a hysterical part of the dancing. Too fun!
Sock dance/sliding is wonderful, active fun! I love the idea of careful falling!
I’m excited to try these activities with my students. I like that the videos incorporate nutrition, fitness, and learning.
