Every month I set a few simple goals to add focus to my life. Here are my monthly goals for October 2026.

But First, a Look Back at September
What You'll Find on This Page
My favorite part of September was about halfway through, when I finally started feeling better than I had before my August surgery. I’m pretty much back to normal now (still feeling much better than I did pre-operation), and that’s fantastic.
I did okay with September goals. I’m very happy to be back to being able to lift whatever I want again, and I kept up with school and work on a minimal level even if I am still feeling behind on work, school, and life in general as a result of spending a few weeks in a post-surgery fog. My days are more productive this week, and I’m hopeful that I will be feeling fully caught up soon.

Setting Goals for October 2026

I’m keeping October goals simple since I still have some catching up to do:
- Enjoy my four kids. They are awesome.
- Catch up with my son who will be home from college for a week. I do love the internet for keeping in touch with him and my college attending daughter while they are far away, but in person time is the best.
- Keep up with school and work work.
- Finish my Jane Austen cross stitch kit that I started after picking it up in the Jane Austen Centre in Bath in 2022. I’m down to the black outline stitching in the final lower left quadrant, and that is partially done so I think this is achievable even though I have very little time for crafting lately.
I’ll see my niece at least a couple of times in October, and I have one (maybe two!) sisters visiting in October. Family time is my favorite.
What are you hoping to achieve this month?
