Toddler-designed dinosaur land

Johnny's dinosaur land

I walked into the kids’ room to find Johnny playing with this dinosaur land he made all by himself, using a sheet of cardboard and some stickers. The dinosaurs were eating the flowers. Not bad for a 28-month-old – and what a creative use for Emma’s book of princess stickers!

  1. I love to see how little young children need to have a pretty involved fantasy play. Anna is quite happy to jump and swim on the piece of blue cloth :) I hope Emma was not upset about her stickers.

Wow! You must be so chuffed! All that craftiness is rubbing off. Way to go, Johnny!

  3. @Natalie – Emma was fine about the stickers, thankfully. It’s a big sticker book, and she knew she had many more where those came from =)

  4. Hurrah, Johnny! Nothing like a kid-designed cardboard toy! Whoooooooo!

Love the egg shakers, too! Very clever! In fact, am very tempted to buy some like that for a craft project that requires the clear halves. I was going to use fruit-cocktail single serve containers but I think eggs might be better!

  5. Oh how CUTE! At about the same age, my girls each folded a sheet of paper in half, covered the bottom half with stickers, and told me that they’d bad a ‘puter (laptop).
