blabla sent us this cute rattle to review. I love handmade toys, and this rattle is no exception. I think it’s a perfect first baby toy: the cotton yarn the toy is made from is super soft, the rattle makes noise but isn’t loud enough to be grating, and the toy conforms to both US and European safety tests. I really like the details on the rattle we received: the knit shoes, a collar on the dress, the cat’s whiskers, and a little bow by the cat’s ear. Blabla’s products are made by Peruvian artisans, and their products extend beyond rattles to include dolls, blankets, mobiles, clothing, puppets, and keychains. The company is committed to fair trade ethics, and I was very impressed by the quality of workmanship on the rattle I received.

I love the girl cat rattle and the sonatina bird rattle.
We have one of their mermaid dolls which I love. I think the cutest is the fruit and veggie sets, and the elephant and giraffe are adorable too! But I would feel guilty if I won twice in a row, so don’t actually enter me. ;-D

From the ‘about’ page I learned that the dolls are knitted in Peru from natural fibers. I love how high quality these look!
I also really love the Mini-Bubbles the Cat blablah doll :)
I love the boy cat rattle, the stripes on the legs are adorable!
Such lovely things…it is hard to pick a favorite, but I think the striped blankets look cozy. :-)
