Johnny's broken baseball

I was attempting to mow the lawn when I ran over Johnny’s baseball (you know your grass is much too long when it easily hides a white baseball!) It amazingly did not break our lawn mower, and we got to learn about how baseballs are made. Johnny also had a good reinforcement lesson on the importance of putting away his toys…

  1. Reminds me of the time my brother hit an old one we had and it broke apart… sad to lose the ball, but so cool to see the inside!!!

  2. I think Mike should take over lawnmowing from now on :)

  3. Definitely not the most fun way to learn a lesson, but probably pretty effective:-). I’ve never seen the inside of a baseball either until you posted this picture.

  5. @Amber – he was pretty upset at first, particularly since he saw it get destroyed, but he’s forgotten now – and we do plan to get him another one!

The sad thing was, he wanted me to fix it, and I couldn’t.

  6. Wow, and a lesson on how powerful a lawn mower is, huh?
