Kid Quotes: Too Heavy for the Air

two-year-old fun

Johnny, putting his hand on my (pregnant) belly:
Here’s a high five for you, baby!

At the dinner table:
Emma: Usually when you get older, you get heavier for the air, so you don’t go [jump] so high.

Emma, eating Swedish Fish:
I love these! They taste like wax!

Emma, making up a song at the piano:
Please be happy today!
Do not be whiny or fussy!

  1. boy sneezes, without covering it at all…the little girl next to him said to me, “teacher, he got his bless you all over me!”

  2. :) I have to agree with Emma on all counts! SO cute that Johnny high-fives the baby. Cullen talks to the baby, and she always says the same thing: “B.” And he gets so excited about it!

      1. I have a plug-in on my blog that shares the most recent posts from people who comment – sort of a “share the love” thing. But there is a box you can uncheck if you don’t want it there, or I can remove it for you (just let me know!)

These have me giggling, and the picture too!! LOVE the high five… too adorable!!

    1. I remember those! I’m pretty sure we weren’t supposed to eat them, but I definitely remember eating them!

  4. Ha, ha! That second one is great. I definitely can’t jump as much now after having kids, if you know what I mean. I should have done more kegel exercises. :)

  5. heavier than air… that is a likely explanation. such a cute little critical thinker :) and the high five? precious beyond words.

    1. The high five was very melt-mom’s-heart material :)

And I love Emma’s explanations for life!

    1. That would have been AWESOME, but I think she was asleep.

She does kick Lily a lot when she sits on my lap :)

    1. lol the funniest part? I remember LOVING cheap Easter chocolate when I was about Emma’s age, also because I thought it tasted like wax!
