Johnny’s Jellyfish

Johnny drew these Jellyfish after Mike read Jim Arnosky’s Beachcombing: Exploring the Seashore to the kids as a bedtime story. Beachcombing is a wonderful picture book full of illustrations of different animals you can find on a beach. I like that the book explains and names various kinds of shells and crabs you can find, but most of all I like that it inspired Johnny to draw these pictures the next day!

I love the range of expressions on his Jellyfish faces, and that they all have arms. And is it just me, or do the two jellyfish on the right look like Superhero Jellyfish?

  1. PS – Thanks for joining WMCIR, and we also enjoyed all Arnovsky’s nature books that we read so far.

  2. Great pictures. It’s interesting to see how all your kids are drawing terrific pictures for their age!

  3. They’re totally superhero ones…….

I haven’t found that Jim Arnosky book yet, but I love all of his we’ve found so far.
