Healthy Snacks: Bananas with yogurt

Lily eating a banana yogurt snack

This is another activity I did with Emma nearly two years ago that she remembered and requested as a repeat! The basic idea is that you take a banana, cut it in half, stick each half on a craft stick, and dip it in yogurt, followed by any additional toppings you desire. We stuck with the simplicity of fruity yogurt this time, and it was a hit with all three kids!

  1. OK, this is a really awesome snack idea, but again, Mary Anne, Jesse would throw the plate and yogurt cup to the floor as soon as it got on his tray! Did Lily just leave it there and eat wonderfully with her awesome banana on a stick? She’s the best:-)! BTW, Jesse won’t even lick a banana. I don’t know if it’s the texture or what, but one touch and he looks so disgusted–LOL! You probably think I’m terrible!

  2. I am curious – are your kids picky eaters. Pickiness frustrates me so much here, but this snack would go over well. Great idea.

  3. My little dude will love this! He’s a dipper like his momma. Now I’m thinking of all the other fruit that’s “stickable and dippable”. Strawberries? Good idea.

  4. Two Chicks and a Hen

I’m always looking for snack ideas for my two. I’ll try this one–dipping of anything is usually a big hit.

  5. Ooh my daughter would probably love this, cause she loves to dip things… She’s probably eaten a gallon of ketchup with the 3 fries she actually ate LOL ;)
