At the dinner table:
Emma: Lily, do you want to be a princess for Halloween?
Lily: Yes.
Emma: Well, then don’t throw food.
Overheard in the playroom:
Emma: I’m not a doll.
Johnny: You’re not?
Emma: No! I’m a person!
Johnny (sounding shocked): You’re a person?!
Explaining why she should be allowed a pre-lunch snack:
Emma: I’m two million coins hungry!
At bedtime. Emma and Mike are discussing dreams:
Johnny: Dada, what are dreams?
Dada: It’s kind of like Netflix in your head.
Johnny: Dada, that is very funny!
The next evening:
Johnny: Can I have Wii in my head?
