Daddy Craft: Recyclables Robot

recyclables robo

Mike made this cute little robot with the kids using some aluminum foil and cans from the recycling bin along with a night light, extension cord, and electrical tape.

building the robot

He cut the bottom of out of an old soup can using these tin snips and a hammer and nail (we don’t have fancy tools), and wrapped electrical tape around all the edges. He used the same tools to make the robot’s face. The robot’s head was made from a very small can (that originally held green chile peppers).

friendly robot

Doesn’t he look like a friendly robot?

  1. Very neat idea – especially the night light inside. I think Anna would love something like this – I might give my husband a hint :)

Thanks for leaving a comment at Waddleeahchaa. Being a Parent is an awesome adventure but the true rewards come when you are a Grandparent. I so love being with my four grandsons. Robots on the other hand are not my love but I am going to share this idea with my Father and he can work on these with my grandsons or his great-grandsons. They will all get a big kick out of this home made robot! Thanks, :)
