My kids love crafts, so when I knew we would be living out of suitcases for a few months this summer, I was a little worried. It’s harder to be creative when you aren’t at home! Happily, we got super lucky: we were sent a bunch of Pom Tree Kids kits to try out in exchange for a sponsored post!
We have played with foam craft kits before, but there were a couple things that made these kits especially clever. The clubhouse had trim (see the sparkly stickers above) that helped the pieces stay put together – so the kids could actually play with the kit without worrying about breaking it!
Stickers made great reinforcement throughout this craft, and we also used them to help the swings stay upright!
I loved the whimsy of these kits. How can you not instantly engage in imaginative play after building an ice cream truck driven by cows?
We built this ice cream truck and the clubhouse above while staying at my 86-year-old grandma’s house. She loved that this was a no-mess activity, and she thought the kits were super cute!
We continued on our journey to my mother-in-law’s house, where the kids built this tree house with Mike’s sister. Aunt L didn’t really need extra points since she is already massively popular with the kids (see below), but it was a fun bonding activity after not seeing her for three years!
Pom Tree Kids also makes some awesome less structured kits! We all loved their sticker tubs! Five-year-old Lily used them to make this I Spy card:
Seven-year-old Emma has been using them to decorate her cards (most of which I still need to mail!!!) Freddy, by the way, is the garter snake that lived in our yard in Massachusetts. Emma misses him terribly. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about running him over with the lawnmower any more!
I was thrilled to get this surprise card from Emma!
These little green stickers inspired Johnny to build a spaceship! I think the stickers were supposed to be bugs, but they make great aliens! The alien stickers were made out of felt, which I thought was really cool. I love felt!
Even one-year-old Anna got in on the crafting, making some cards of her own! Foam stickers are great first stickers, because they are easier to manipulate than regular stickers.

Oh definitely the tree house. Thanks for the chance. Looks like the linky is closed. I will definitely link up this week!
It is kind of funny watching babies manipulate stickers : )
Thanks for linking up, Ann!
That treehouse is too cute! And that card is precious. I love how all the little bugs agree that you are the funnest mom ever. :)
I have to admit I like the 3D kits, they’re pretty awesome.
Mail, I’m horrid at mailing stuff, so bad at it.
And I STILL haven’t mailed these. Need to find them, actually, now. I agree that the 3D kits are fun!
I would love to make the sparkle playhouse with my kids!
These kits are adorable! Where can I buy them?
Amazon sells them here (affiliate link)
Oh, those kits look really great, and I can see how they served you well during your travel. I love the picture of everyone with Aunt L – they look so delighted to be with her.
Love the picture with the popular aunt! :) And Anna placing a sticker!! So sweet! Johnny’s aliens and spaceship! Freddy the garter snake, too!! Awesome!
That’s really nice that the pieces extend beyond the kit itself and that the kids were inspired to use it in just about anything!
J loves stickers of all kinds. I wouldn’t call them mess free though. They end up all over our house, even our tablet is decorated with baseball stickers.
Good point – they are only mess-free if you control access to them. I find foam stickers especially difficult to remove. Felt stickers, though, come off great, and these kits have some of those :)
Love the stickers! Need to get my daughter out of PRincess mode for awhile …
I love the tree house! And that card Emma made you is so sweet.
Emma’s card made my day! I thought the tree house was really cool, too!
I’m guessing you have to be in the US to get this?
I’m afraid so. Sorry, Johanna!
