Emma and Johnny worked together to decorate this gift wrap to wrap up a gift for their friend Amelia. Johnny had the green stamp pad and Emma had the red one. Emma also picked a red marker, while Johnny used a blue one. Emma drew a picture of her friend, as well as a horse. She always adds a little heart instead of a dot when she writes the letter “I”. I’m not sure what Johnny drew, but I do like his little circle of stamped snails.
Most of all, I love the fun they had decorating their friend’s gift!

I am going to use this idea very soon – the gift is really extra special this way. Emma’s drawings are really cute, and I like how Johnny got very involved too.

What a fun present!
Fantastic!
Although I’m a big fan of post holiday bargain shopping, I’ve always hated the concept of wrapping paper. It’s such a waste to buy it to then tear it off.
My kids have decorated “wrapping” paper before and the recipients always love it.

Oh the kids are creative & good in decorating the present wrapper! Happy Weekend :-)
Very cool!!! We did that once last year when I had a bunch of packing paper left around after our move. Thanks for reminding me of doing this again – the kids loved it! I also love that you had them use stamps – I had never thought of that (we just colored w/ markers) but my kids are so into stamps and stickers right now – that would be perfect :) Have a good weekend!

@RoseBelle – that’s how my daughter draws boys. Guess she doesn’t think they should be as evolved as girls!
Awww, isn’t it cute how they personalized the wrapping paper? I see the horse that Emma drew now that you say what it is. LOL! My 5 year-old daughter draws people that look like spiders. A big circle with eyes, nose, and a smile with tiny hands and legs.
Sounds like my Emma! She also likes to decorate the brown gift bags. It makes the gift so special!

I use this idea all the time. We have a large roll of paper for the easel and I use it for quick, last minute wrapping. Sometimes I even do the art… fun fun.
